This is the outer clutch hub or pressure plate. This is the one that usually gets worn first and is cheap insurance to your upgraded clutch.

If you can see/feel any grooves on the contact surface... it needs replaced.

If the bike is a 2006 Barn find with low hours, you may not need one, or if it has been replaced recently.

But IF the bike is the typical Banshee that is 15-20 years old and been rode hard, why chance an inexpensive part??
