The kicker idler gear sits to the left of the clutch basket and is notorious for wobbling loose and coming off which can lead to serious engine damage. Why buy the new $70 kicker idler Gear when a low-cost bushing replacement will do the job?  Replace the worn stock bronze bushing with a steel bushing cut with spiral oil grooves. Easy to install.

NOTE: We HIGHLY recommended to replace the Idler Circlip at the same time!

Don't forget to order: folding lock washer, clutch gasket, and stainless clutch bolt kit to complete your job.

Side Note: These are sized perfectly on a NEW shaft. If it doesn't fit your old shaft it is most likely because your old worn bushing allowed the gear to wobble and flare out your clip groove. You may need to sand mushroomed area with some 240 grit emery cloth etc..
